I saw this interview this morning and I think it's pretty funny. Not just because Chris Rock is a comedian, but because Larry King decides to ask him all kinds of political questions that even Rock admits he has no business answering. I wonder if black people get offended when people like Larry King assume that one black person speaks for all black people. Probably as offended as I get when people think all women will vote for Sarah Palin because she's a woman, despite the fact that she's a gun-toting jesus freak.
The good news is that most people realize that John McCain's stunt of suspending his campaign is pretty transparent and pointless. I do like Rock's analogy of McCain as a boxer who's been hit hard and has to hold or clinch just to stay on his feet. Obama got a bounce in polls according to Gallup and CNN and they're now predicting Michigan will go for him. I might seem sadistic and highly partisan for saying this, but I'm looking forward to seeing both McCain and Palin humiliated in these debates. I mean, Palin can't stand up to Katie Couric? She interviewed Hillary Clinton about what she does to stay healthy and her eating habits. It was the most softball interview ever. How is she going to be against Biden? Her only hope is that people are sexist enough to think that questioning her credentials is "beating up on her".
